Hello Readers!

It is Saturday today, the first day of the weekend, and today I will be looking at some books from an author I have read before to add to my TBR. This weekly meme is created by Nikki from The Night Is Dark And Full Of Books. The author I have chosen for today’s post is Amie Kaufman, I have read Illuminae by her and I loved it, so I am interested to see with what kind of new books she is coming out with.

Unearthed series by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner

“When Earth intercepts a message from a long-extinct alien race, it seems like the solution the planet has been waiting for. The Undying’s advanced technology has the potential to undo environmental damage and turn lives around, and Gaia, their former home planet, is a treasure trove waiting to be uncovered.

For Jules Addison and his fellow scholars, the discovery of an alien culture offers unprecedented opportunity for study… as long as scavengers like Amelia Radcliffe don’t loot everything first. Mia and Jules’ different reasons for smuggling themselves onto Gaia put them immediately at odds, but after escaping a dangerous confrontation with other scavvers, they form a fragile alliance.

In order to penetrate the Undying temple and reach the tech and information hidden within, the two must decode the ancient race’s secrets and survive their traps. But the more they learn about the Undying, the more their presence in the temple seems to be part of a grand design that could spell the end of the human race…”

The synopsis sounds very interesting. I haven’t read the Starbound trilogy by them but overall I hear good things about them, and I am planning on reading more Science Fiction, because I do love this genre but I don’t pick up that much books within this genre. This book is set to be released on January 9th 2018 as of now. There is no cover yet.

The Elementals series by Amie Kaufman

“The series features an ancient, ongoing battle between two clans of humans who can shapeshift – ice wolves and scorch dragons – and follows two siblings who combine the powers of the enemy clans. The first book, as yet untitled, pubs in winter 2018, and the next two books will follow annually thereafter.”

Shapeshifters, Ice wolves and dragons. I am sold! And I think this is the first series she will be publishing without a co-writer, so I am very interested to see what she will create on her own. This book is set to be released in 2018 as of now. There is no cover yet.

From which author do you want to read more books?
